Abstract:
Low-carbon agriculture represents a model of agricultural production that plays a crucial role in both climate change adaptation and mitigation. In Vietnam, the development of low-carbon agriculture is of utmost necessity; however, this endeavor currently faces numerous challenges, including legal barriers and regulatory gaps. This article assesses several limitations within the existing Vietnamese legal framework on low-carbon agriculture and offers recommendations for legal reform, with a view to ensuring sustainable agricultural development in line with Vietnam’s climate objectives in particular and global climate goals in general.
