On the Basis of Criminal Liability

To ensure that criminal liability is imposed correctly on offenders and to minimise possible errors, it is essential that law enforcers possess thorough knowledge and a deep understanding of criminal law, including the basis of criminal liability. This article clarifies the concept of the basis of criminal liability, identifies its nature from different perspectives (scientific, practical, and legal), and analyses the basis of criminal liability as a criterion for determining the boundary between administrative and criminal violations.
