Innovating the Process of Law Making and Enforcement to Promote Democracy and Protect Human Rights to Meet the Requirements of the New Era

Abstract: 

The successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam opens a new stage of development in the new era of the nation. Accordingly, the new era requires creating fundamental changes from awareness to action in all areas of life, especially in the making and enforcing of laws to promote democracy and protect human rights to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development. The article studies a number of theoretical issues in the context of the new era and the need to innovate the making and enforcement of law to promote democracy and protect human rights. The article also briefly analyses the current situation and proposes a number of recommendations for continued innovation to improve the quality and effectiveness of lawmaking and enforcement to promote democracy and protect human rights to meet development requirements in the new era of Vietnam.
